Safeguarding audit tool for schools 2024-2025

To support schools ensure their safeguarding practice and processes are effective, the DDSCP have agreed an updated safeguarding audit tool for the academic year 2024-2025. 

• Introduction to safeguarding audit tool for schools which outlines how the audit tool should be used. This document is also incorporated into the Excel safeguarding audit tool  
• DDSCP safeguarding audit tool for schools 2024-2025 - an Excel tool consisting of an introduction outlining how the tool should be used, 11 audit sections, summary action plan and confirmation of audit completion
• DDSCP safeguarding audit tool for schools 2024-2025 Word Version - a Word version of the Excel audit tool 
• Confirmation of audit completion for schools 2024-2025 - to allow key senior staff to confirm audit completion. This document is incorporated in the Excel and Word audit tools.

Please note: the DDSCP business team and local authority do not require schools to confirm completion of their audit or submit a copy.
