The Derby and Derbyshire Safeguarding Children Partnership

Derby City Council, Derbyshire County Council, Derby and Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Group, Tameside and Glossop Clinical Commissioning Group and Derbyshire Constabulary (the statutory partners) work in partnership with relevant agencies such as health providers, schools and education settings, probation providers and others to improve local safeguarding arrangements and hold each other to account as to how they are keeping children safe.

This site provides information for the public, children, young people, parents, carers and professionals.

The partnership has a number of subgroups to carry out its work.

The subgroups are

  • Quality Assurance Groups (one in each area)
  • Child Safeguarding Practice Review Groups (previously known as Serious Case Review Panels) (one in each area)
  • Education Groups (one in each area)
  • Exploitation and Vulnerable Young People Groups (one in each area)
  • Districts’ Safeguarding Group (covering all district council areas)
  • A Stakeholders Group
