The DDSCP offers introductory, core, and specialist training to help develop staff skills, knowledge, and confidence when working with children, young people, and families. Training is delivered by the DDSCP Training Officer alongside a multi‑agency pool of specialist facilitators.
Multi‑agency training is available to volunteers and practitioners working across Derby and Derbyshire only.
To book onto any event or e-learning course, please visit our learning management system. A step-by-step guide on How to create a training account is available to help you set up your account and access all its features. If you are unsure which course you need, please speak with your line manager.
Important: Each delegate must create their own individual account. Your account is linked to the email address you provide, and certificates will only be issued in the name registered on that account.
Once you have booked onto a course, please take a moment to read the Information for Delegates (Jan_26_v1) document. This outlines what to expect from our training sessions and how to prepare.
When a member of staff books onto a course, the registered line manager on their account will automatically receive a copy of the booking. Line managers will also be notified if a member of staff cancels their place or does not attend.
