Two new DDSCP Briefing Notes for schools published
The DDSCP have published two new briefing notes designed to support schools to consider and address issues relating to:
- Government review into Sexual Abuse in Schools which outlines the actions being undertaken and considerations for schools to ensure there is a whole school approach to safeguarding, a culture that makes it clear that sexual harassment and violence is unacceptable, preventative measures and effective policies and processes to address any concerns and support victims and alleged perpetrators. - Access to schools by staff from other agencies in Derby and Derbyshire - to support schools in their roles and responsibilities in respect of providing access to children for assessment and the checks required on visitors to schools.
